Life since Davis
Of coarse, life since Davis revolves around....DAVIS!
He...
loves being held and being the center of attention, good for my arms...bad for my back
has reflux and an intolerance to milk protein, explaining number one
is closing in on 13 lbs
is consistently sleeping 7 - 10 hour stretches at night, but not much during the day
smiles a lot, especially at women...he's a ladies man just like cole
has lost most of his newborn hair, but is already getting good regrowth. Ryan is jealous.

doesn't exactly love bath time, but gets it anyway because it makes him sleepy + smell good. And since I still bathe him in the kitchen, it gives me a chance todo dishes eat.

The kids haven't been totally forgotten. They are busy with school, soccer, fall enrichment, wii, angry birds, and friends. Um, definitely not in that order.

photo shoot rehearsal
To get ready for Sarah coming to Denver next week, I had a quick photo shoot with Davis today. Due to an unfortunate accident, our regular lens is broken and I only have a panoramic to work with. (and I'm still not sure that one, or the camera itself, are at 100%). So it's almost impossible for me to get a good in-focus picture these days. I really just wanted to play around with positioning and lighting, but ended up getting a coulple of cute ones. I can't wait for the real deal.

Big Week
Besides GETTING A NEW BROTHER, mclayne and cole also started school, were spoiled by gma and gpa for 10 days, and got to see Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. So between a hospital visit, orientation, school, trips to the park to catch minnows + crawdads, and a 1+1/2 hour drive to Colorado Springs(totally worth it) we were very busy. It was a fun week and we were sad to see Sweetie Grandma and Grandpa leave this morning.

Davis Mitchell Bergstrom

At his 4 day check-up he weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. But I can tell he's putting on more weight now. We'll see on Thursday. He has put himself on a pretty consistent 4 hour schedule. I don't like having to wake him during the day to feed him, but I'll take it at night. He looks like a mix of mclayne and cole, and also looks a lot like me as a baby. Lucky guy!;)
Easter in St George
Finally. The post everyone has been waiting for. Our mini Easter vacation in St George on our way home from Disneyland. Now you can stop asking for pictures...here they are.

*I actually downloaded my dad's pictures from this week and found these too. Looks like my nesting/need for everything to be caught-up hasn't gone away yet!

37 weeks and 2 days
Can you tell I'm READY to get this started! Just 12 days (or less) to go. Since everything else has been different with this pregnancy, I figured why not do something else I've never done...
post pics of my big belly. I guess since this might be the last, I better capture it. So I snapped a few on my way to early morning yoga this morning.

With flash - didn't work but highlights the dirty mirror nicely.

No flash - better but a little blurry and my belly looks way smaller than it feels.
The best angle - especially since my face is covered!

The Fourth
We started the fourth this year with snaps and sparklers on Saturday night.
The combination of the the earplugmuffs and throwing action made for some entertaining shots of Cole.
We did the typicallegal boring fireworks on Sunday night and had a ward breakfast Monday morning. I decided to paint our toenails before heading to the park, since we were a little lacking in the red department...

What...suprised?! Well, those who really know Cole, know he appreciates the pretty things in life. He insisted on a pedicure of his own. I did draw the line when he asked for painted finger nails, too. Maybe I should invest in some gray or army green nail polish...I think it's a good thing this next one's a boy!

At around midnight last night...
Mclayne lost her first tooth! Even though she was BEYOND excited, she waited until I woke up at 6:30 to share the news...she's {usually} so nice to her pregnant momma. She was even more excited when she found out she could tell just about every friend she has {and adult she knows} at Jane's party today.
6:30 this morning...

all ready for the party...

at the party...

<-Notice anything in the second pic?

yep, photo bomber strikes again.
Of course, Laynie made a video in honor of the exciting event...

Preschool Graduation
This was mclayne's last week of preschool, so the class went to the Denver Aquarium (mclayne's favorite place) one day and had a picnic/ceremony yesterday. I didn't bring my camera to the aquarium, but luckily Rochelle (aka mclayne's future mil) snapped a few of Mclayne & Chase.

Park Day
I did remember to bring my camera, but most of the pics turned out blurry. So, once again I borrowed a few from Rochelle.
Can you see a theme? These two are quite fond of each other and talk about getting married a little (lot) too much. Chase even drew a picture of mclayne & him holding hands in his preschool journal and offered to catch bugs for her. He's got skills for a preschooler!
Love this funny face pic...especially the photo-bomber Cole.

Getting her diploma and stuffed animal. She later traded it to a classmate who likes elephants. More proof that Mrs Holly is a miracle-worker...she has come along way!

Just 68 days until KindERgarten...

Pets
A while ago Mclayne recorded this video of her pets...
Not as funny as her other video, but impressive that she 1) didn't say "this video is going to be awesome" once, and 2) she still considers herself a great owner!?
Anyway, the caterpillars in the video transformed into butterflies and we released them yesterday. She was very ready for them to be let free into the wild. That is until one of them lingered on her finger for a minute too long and the "Darla" instinct came out. I'm not sure how she became so attached after literally 2 minutes holding the butterfly, but she was heart-broken when it flew away. In the saddest little voice she kept saying things like
"I'm trying really hard not to cry"
"I hope it comes back to visit every day"
"Why did we have to raise butterflies anyway"
A few minutes later, "Darla" faded and green earth-loving Mclayne was back. The momentary heartbreak was worth her being licked by the butterflies freakishly long tongue/sucker. I highly recommend it.

"All of our recent pictures/videos were taken with Laynie's camera, so they're not the best. But I did have fun with Picnik on this one.
As you can see/hear from the video, Cole is busy watching (and then falling asleep to) garbage truck/car movies.
