Big D

Davis had his 6 month check-up on Tuesday. I snapped a few pictures with Ryan's old iphone my new camera to capture the milestone. He was pretty relaxed and cooperative while his hair was down. Then I spiked it and he became a wild man. Coincidence?

Coming to a bookstore near you?

This week I came across a funny book at the library called Chicken Cheeks by Michael Ian Black. My kids LOVE it. I'm sure you can figure out why.

It reminds me of my alphabet poop list and my dream of turning it into a book. With the right illustrator it could work. It's going on my bucket list.

It's snowing outside

but I'm inside looking at pictures and videos from ryan's old iphone and wishing it was summer outside.

And again, this is my pet LuLu

I was sure we were not going to add any new members to our family in 2012, but I was wrong. Mclayne got LuLu BunBun Bergstrom for her birthday and loves her new pet. She is a dwarf lionhead, so she (and her LuLu nuggets) will stay small. I was also happy to learn that she grooms herself (besides a little brushing), can be potty trained, and rabbit poop is the best animal fertilizer for your garden. Plus, she is REALLY cute!

See if you can come to [our] house if you know [us]!

S-Chool

We've been busy with school around here. Cole has been practicing {at school} for his Winter Wonderland program {at school} last Wednesday. Cole was excited to show off all the songs and actions he'd learned and the hat and scarf he made too. He wants to wear them everywhere. Don't know how I feel about broadcasting his name to strangers in glitter letters though....

And for the last month, Mclayne has been working on a VOLUNTARY science project for the science fair. Not too many kindergartners would do a science project for "fun", but Mclayne insisted. It turned out great! Hopefully she wins something so when she HAS to do a project one day she'll still be this excited.

Life since Davis

Of coarse, life since Davis revolves around....DAVIS!

He...
loves being held and being the center of attention, good for my arms...bad for my back

has reflux and an intolerance to milk protein, explaining number one

is closing in on 13 lbs

is consistently sleeping 7 - 10 hour stretches at night, but not much during the day

smiles a lot, especially at women...he's a ladies man just like cole

has lost most of his newborn hair, but is already getting good regrowth. Ryan is jealous.

doesn't exactly love bath time, but gets it anyway because it makes him sleepy + smell good. And since I still bathe him in the kitchen, it gives me a chance to do dishes eat.

The kids haven't been totally forgotten. They are busy with school, soccer, fall enrichment, wii, angry birds, and friends. Um, definitely not in that order.

photo shoot rehearsal

To get ready for Sarah coming to Denver next week, I had a quick photo shoot with Davis today. Due to an unfortunate accident, our regular lens is broken and I only have a panoramic to work with. (and I'm still not sure that one, or the camera itself, are at 100%). So it's almost impossible for me to get a good in-focus picture these days. I really just wanted to play around with positioning and lighting, but ended up getting a coulple of cute ones. I can't wait for the real deal.

Big Week

Besides GETTING A NEW BROTHER, mclayne and cole also started school, were spoiled by gma and gpa for 10 days, and got to see Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. So between a hospital visit, orientation, school, trips to the park to catch minnows + crawdads, and a 1+1/2 hour drive to Colorado Springs(totally worth it) we were very busy. It was a fun week and we were sad to see Sweetie Grandma and Grandpa leave this morning.
